Back in business
Whew… We’re back. Thanks to Kabob’s genius IT brother, we finagled our way through and got back online. It’s always weird to take a forced technology break. It drove me crazy, yet in a way, it was nice.
But it’s good to be back because I have a few work orders to process, we have a ton of e-mail to read, and we finally get to use our Skype to check messages and call our families to wish them a happy Thanksgiving, two days late.
Our Thanksgiving was a ton of fun. It was the first time we actually hosted a major holiday meal, and I really enjoyed it. We had nine adults and eight kids, and it was chaos, but in a good way. We provided the turkey, and if I do say so myself, it was one of the better turkeys I’ve eaten. We had to special-order the turkeys from our neighborhood grocery store, but it wasn’t nearly as expensive as we anticipated – $50 for about 25 pounds (two turkeys), and everyone chipped in. I also made a pumpkin cheesecake, and others brought potatoes, veggies, stuffing, and pies of all sorts. Oh, and cranberries! That was such a surprise. An expat who was going back to the States passed their cranberries on to friends of ours, so it was a fun treat to have that as well. Overall, the food was amazing – I think we all relished it more than usual because it tasted like home. It was fun to be Americans for the day, to be with each other and to relax and laugh.
Kabob and I ended the day playing Trivial Pursuit with friends of ours, and crashed in bed exhausted. We’re going to relax for the rest of the weekend, and get back to work come Monday. So in the meantime… have a great holiday weekend!
(Oh, and Kabob says for future reference – never let a security guard who barely speaks your native language hand you some papers to sign willy-nilly while you’re in line to pay your bill. You may accidentally cancel your internet service. Ahem.)Â

I didn’t know you were expecting! congratulations. Almost time, looks like your having a Christmas baby! I was “originally” due with Samantha on Christmas in 2002, but they later changed my due date to Jan 17th and she was born Jan 10th. What are you having?
yay for being back online and I’m glad you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
What program do you use for your card creations? I have PSE but I am not too good at it yet, I am pretty good in PSP7 though.
