Back to normal…

Well, we’re all in recovery mode around here as we readjust to just the four of us. We had a wonderful time with Kabob’s parents. I may be biased here, but I think I’m blessed with the best in-laws evah. Kabob says the same thing about him, so I guess we’re doubly blessed in this family.

My mother-in-law did so much around here that it really felt like a mini-vacation for me. I was actually able to clear out my email inbox (I don’t think I’ve done that since we moved here), I made my nifty little art project, worked on tons more crafty things that I’ll show you when I’m done, and I got a little gardening 101 from her.

We also traveled a ton – off the top of my head, we went to eight different cities, one of which was in a different country.

And of course, it was wonderful to let Chickpea have so much quality time with her grandparents, and for Garbanzo to meet them for the first time. Further bonding ensued.

I’m pretty wiped after today (we’ve got a ton of cleaning to do around here, so that’s all I’ve done), so I need to head to bed soon. I’ll leave you with a quote from Chickpea yesterday, when we were at IKEA, and Kabob jokingly asked her to go get him a drink refill.

“No Daddy, I can’t, not until I grow nice and big and strong. Soon I’ll grow bigger and bigger and bigger, but right now I’m just really tiny [said in a higher-pitched voice, showing with her fingers just how tiny she was]. So you’ll just have to wait.”
