Change
There are moments in life that God uses to draw you to your knees, where you reach a crossroads with your entire belief system. You’re forced to ask if all you know to be true is, well…true. And He wants you uncomfortable, because He infinitely cares more about your rightstanding with Him than your ease of life. And so you wait for His answer. What is true, you ask.
And, as the trustworthy Father that He is, He answers. He reminds you again that HE is true, HE is reliable and faithful to the end. It is in HE whom you can wholly and gladly trust with everything in you. HE is all you can depend on, and He is again patient in a way only He can be when His child asks the same thing for the billionth time. He loves you with an everlasting love. And that love is the basis for everything you know to be good in your life.
He is NOT deceptive. He would NOT expect you to have enough education to pick and choose from His words what is true and what isn’t. You are not reliable enough, not even in a speck of your illustrious erudition, to decide what words of His are accurate, and with what words He is simply being playful. HE is God, and He loves His children. What kind of God would muddle His truth with ambiguities? I don’t think I’d want to follow that God.
And the funny thing is that He wants you to trust Him completely, even with the stuff you just don’t get. The parts of His truth that seem, well, untrue, He asks you to take a step of faith and say “I am finite and You are infinite.” He’s the Dad, you’re the kid. You just may have to be okay with not being as smart as you’d like.
And because you do this, there’s major change in your life. Major. Not life-or-death, but pretty darn major. He shakes up what you know to be reliable, dependable, the norm, to remind you that only HE is all those things. And that’s what gives you peace that surpasses all understanding, joy that’s deep and stalwart, and wisdom because you asked Him for it. And He blesses you with these things because He SAID He would. In His Word.

Hey Tsh, quick question about apostrophies which I guess should be writen ”s . Anyway where does the apostrophy go for the contraction of “you all” in the possesive form?
Slang – y’all’s. Formal – your. For example, “Where is y’all’s house?” is okay, but not “Where is you all’s house?” because we don’t actually mean “you all” when we say that. We mean “your.” So in the more formal way, you say, “Where is your house?”, meaning “Where is Jim and Katie’s house?”. Clear as mud? Let me know if this isn’t what you’re talking about.
yup, that’s what I was talking about. Sorry to post such a silly question such a serious post. I meant to post it on the one about the trash can… oops
I don’t care at all where you post a comment! Any time.
So, I read your blog, but never comment. However, today I was reminded of your great writing skills! No wonder you were my newspaper editor! In fact, my friend is the executive director at a christian ministry….I just told her that you needed to be a guest writer. Yeah, you could be famous!
