Easter and springtime, and – well, rambling, really
The first half of Easter, I was admittedly a little bummed. We really didn’t do much because the timing of the few options we had just didn’t work out for us, so in some ways, the day was just like any other. I was missing the whole put-your-kid-in-a-cute-dress thing, along with the food, family, and fellowship that are congruent with the day – admittedly, I was a bit mopey. But Kabob cheered me up in the evening when he casually mentioned that it was one of his favorite Easters – he relished having a true day of relaxing, without the stress of a big lunch, coordinating schedules with family members, and generally dealing with going all over the place. It was a quiet day, and we were free to reflect on what the day was all about. He pointed that out to me, and then I realized – he’s right. It was a great Easter. Just the three of us, reading and talking and going on long walks in amazingly gorgeous spring weather. I have no cute photos of Chickpea wearing a sundress in bluebonnets to mark the day, but I do have a memory of our first real day of solid relaxation since we arrived. No travel, no coordinating plans, no language study. Just rest.
And speaking of weather, we’ve been having beautiful spring days, unlike Austin and half the U.S., apparently. It put me in the mood for a new springy blog banner, which of course, didn’t happen, because now my banner says nothing resembling spring. But I still like it. I know I got a ton of compliments on my last banner, so people might not like me changing it. But the P in my ENFP self craves change, so I can’t have critical things like blog banners looking the same for long. And if you knew just how high I rank on the P scale of things, you’d understand.
This is important stuff, people.

d’oh, I’ve had a window with your blog open all day but kept getting distracted from replying. All this to say I’m an ENFP too! But I’m so P that I never come to closure on wanting to change my template all the time. I start it but I never finish it. So mine never changes.
