ever have one of those weeks?

All morning I’ve been mentally composing a blog post trying to adequately depict the kind of week we’ve had with our brand new three-year-old. As I was looking for the words to accurately describe what it’s like to have a kid that both weaned from her paci and decided that naps were no longer her thing in the same week, I walked in to Chickpea’s room and saw this:

This is Chickpea’s bed, and this is also Elmer’s Glue, which you can’t get here. My mom brought it when she visited last month. Sigh…

Her hands and arms looked like this:

So Kabob brilliantly decided that her punishment, while sitting in the corner and watching us clean up the mess, was to hold her hands like this:

It’s blurry because she did not stay still very well. Imagine that.

So her hands dried together, and then Kabob peeled them apart and peeled off the glue. It didn’t feel good. After awhile, we had mercy and washed off the remainder.

So. I’ll blog about our week maybe tomorrow, when my head clears. All we can do right now is laugh, really. I mean, this season is short, right? Right?

Oooooo…BUMMER! Yeah, not with the exact same Elmer’s Glue episode, but we are so there right now. It has to be the age, RIGHT!?! ;o)
    Anyway, we’re praying for ya.

  2. why yes I have!

In fact, we were just today, watching some videos of our first born when she was 2 and I caught many of those on tape.

I can now laugh about them ;0)

    Blessings,
