This story is great. I love Halloween (the dressing up, the weird and wacky goodies) even though I am a Christian and have family and friends against it. I was living in South Africa during Halloween this past year and though we tried to have a party it never worked because of the culture's strong ties/fears of witches/witchcraft/the occult. There is always a time and a place for Halloween and sometimes/wheres it's neither time nor place. But it's nice to know Jesus is into it! My sister-in-law recommended checking out your blog and it is a crack up. My wife and I lived in China for a while and it is astounding how many of your posts remind me of life there. Bad haircuts, no lines, buses to everywhere, pushy people wanting to see the American baby...oh the memories. The cowboy Jesus was an unexpected twist though. Hello, I’m a new reader. I miss you guys. Went and watered the plant tonight. Allison begged me to go too and then wanted to hide when she thought she heard Chick coming up the stairs - after I had told her 3 times that Chick would not be home.
