Maxed Out

I’ve heard great things about this documentary - I doubt I’ll find it here, so you’re in the States, go see it and tell me what you think.

Here’s the trailer:

I think I saw you can rent this on Netflix but I guess they don’t send stuff overseas. I thought it looked interesting too. Although, I have been reading your archives as time permits and your life is fascinating. I think I’d rather see a movie about all the places you have been and the experiences you have had. Can I say I am a little jealous? I majored in Sociology and when I studied abroad a few summers ago in Russia I wrote my paper (for part of my grade) on the cultural differences. (Everyone had to write a paper in Russian based loosely on their major and I was one of the few non-history or Russian majors on the trip.)

We saw this about 6 months ago. Pretty good flick with some great points but it is definitely a bit exaggerated. Some people got themselves into some big trouble (college students committing suicide with huge debt) which makes you think about what you accumulate with cards and loans and such. Worth seeing, with a grain of salt.

We saw this and thought every American should watch it. Sure, it hits the worst case scenarios, but there’s an ever-increasing number of those. Home foreclosures are at an all-time high. It’s really scary how much credit card debt Americans carry.

I’m a documentary junkie. :)
