Today, our country has seen something truly incredible! No where else in the world could a person of color, a minority have been voted to the highest office. It is for these reasons that I, an immigrant, love and cherish the United States. The American Dream is still a reality.

And while our country is not perfect – as no country is – it is still a beacon of hope for millions of people across the world.

I hope that Obama, who is an educated and worldly individual, will honor the dignity and rights of other countries and will allow us, once more, to gain the respect of nations.

I am a “lefty” so I am pretty happy with the results of the election, but by far the best thing about Obama (and Palin) is the way he has made our children think. It brings me much hope and happiness to think that our children will grow up in a world where race is not nearly as important as it has been for us and our parents.

Adorable story! I am an avid Simple Mom reader but I love coming over here to get some of the adorable kiddo stories.

i voted for my kids – and i take great pride in knowing that our country did what was best and it wasn’t just because of the color of his skin. our kids deserve a better future than where it was headed!
