On the road again…
Once again, we could use prayer for travel safety. Tomorrow we fly from Eugene to Denver (I’m pretty sure we have a layover somewhere, but I don’t even know – can you tell I’m travel weary?), and we’ll spend the night in Denver. We’ll also re-commandeer our vehicle that has been so patiently waiting for us (it’s probably been skiing). And then we make the trek back to Texas! It’s still mind-boggling to me that in just a few days, we’ll be back in Austin, land of the 80-degree Christmasses and home to some seriously good Tex-Mex.
If you’re so inclined, here are some prayer needs for us:
- Smooth travel – connections are made, luggage arrives, cities aren’t snowed-out, etc. etc.
- Rest and energy, especially for our little one – go ahead and pray that she sleeps on the plane. Why not.
- Good weather and little traffic for our drive, so that we make it to Austin in decent time.
- All the details I’m not even aware of – I’m thankful our Heavenly Father does.
- Good closure and goodbyes up here in Oregon.
- Unity as a family, and rest for our minds and bodies – we really are wiped out. It will probably take us a good two weeks in Austin to fully recover from all our moving around.
- Another housesitting gig in Austin after January 17. We have plenty of friends who have offered to let us stay with them before we leave, and we are very thankful for that. That will definitely be an okay option for us. However, it would be really wonderful to have a place of our own before we board that plane, so that we have plenty of rest, good closure, and overall sanity.
If you’re in Austin, we’ll see you soon!
