On the road (sky? clouds? tarmac?) again…

Our bags are (mostly) packed, we’ve finished any shopping we wanted needed to do, and as I type this, Kabob is reading to Chickpea in hopes of her settling down for a night of restful sleep. Gathering from the delightful shrieks and giggles coming from the room, I’m not so sure it’ll happen soon.

This is really to say… tomorrow at 7 p.m. Thailand time, we board our plane back to our country of service. We’ll be in the air and/or waiting in airports for about 29 hours, so you can imagine the prayer we need. If you’re so inclined, here’s how you can lift us up for the next few days:

  • For Chickpea to be supernaturally happy, calm, and SLEEPING during as much of our traveling as possible.
  • Creativity for us to find ways to entertain her during our layovers (especially our nine-hour one).
  • Unity, stamina, patience, and kindness between Kabob and I as we persevere all this traveling.
  • For all our luggage to arrive safe and sound – we have to retrieve and re-check everything three times.
  • For all the separate airlines we’re flying to have grace and mercy with our extra luggage – that they won’t charge us too hefty a fine.
  • For all the little details we don’t even know about – that the Lord would seamlessly orchestrate everything to go as smoothly as possible
  • For our initial re-entry in to our country of service – culture shock, jet lag, lack of A/C in the beginning, etc. etc. Pray for supernatural strength.

Thailand has been so wonderful, so recharging, so exactly-what-we’ve-needed. Words are inadequate at the moment to sing praises to the Lord for His blessing here. I want to articulate what I’ve learned and heard from Him, but for the moment, I think I just need to be reflective. He is so good.

Thank you so much in advance for praying, friends! We’ll be in touch as soon as we’re able…
