Our nieces have storage units up their noses
In the spirit of Car-Car, Nellie, our niece here in Austin, decided to see how far her nasal passages traveled. Josh and Joan took her to the doctor yesterday because she was showing signs of a sinus infection. What was the doctor able to extract from her 19-month-old nose? A piece of cheese, three wads of paper, some cardboard, and an unidentifiable hunk of nastiness that apparently did not smell like roses. Joan catches sweet Nellie cramming stuff up her nose all the time, but she knows she’s not able to catch everything. Sigh… I hope Nellie’s learned her lesson, though learning from Car-Car, that might not be the case.
In other news, I’m going to take a blogging break for a few days. I’ve had technology overload this past week, and I’d like to get caught up on some reading. It shouldn’t be more than a few days, though.
Have a good week!

Seems as if kids done change much. My daughter (now 38) was very fond of putting goodies up her nose. She ended up in the ER twice – once for the leather catch mechanism on a watch band and once for 1/2 of a large glass marble – jagged edge and all! The doctor used a wicked looking instrument that was shaped like sharp pointed tweezers with a hoop on the end to get the marble out. We were all amazed at its size – their little nostrils don’t look like they could accommodate such monstrocities! Have a good week off. I really enjoy reading your blog.
