Photos and gender stereotypes and dream jobs, oh my
I don’t have much time this morning, so I’ll just let you know about a little site where I’ve been asked to participate. Jodi has started a photoblog, simply titled “My Day.” The participants share at least one photo a week, oftentimes more, that describes something about their day. It’s simple, it’s fun. So go check it out, if you like. I’ll be pretty sporadic with my contributions, seeing as my life is one Giant Sporadic Moment right now anyway.
And just to crank up the random meter, I apparently write like a girl. How about you?
edited to add: And I SO want to work at Google. I mean, if I were corporate and all. Which I’m not. In the slightest. You know what I mean.

speaking of photos… the new treadmarks banner at the top of your blog is very, very cool…
Thanks! It was fun doing it.
So, I tried the gender test. My first entry was male, but it was only 120 words, so I tried again with more text. That one came back female but was only 350 words, so I tried again. That one came back male with 444 words. My hypothesis would be: this test doesn’t work!
oh maaaan
I write like a guy
I’m crushed.
Or maybe Jodi’s right, and the test isn’t very accurate.
I tried two short stories and 3 blog entries and got 3:2 male.
I’ve been having such fun with the gender genie!! Apparently, I only write like a girl when I’m sharing newsy or silly things. When I’m being serious, it thinks I’m a man.
Yeah, each time it said I write like a girl. Is that so bad? After all, I am a chick.
I’m with you – I have no issues at all with writing like a girl.
