I have to say, I could NEVER homeschool. It helps, of course, that we have a fantastic school here in China. But also, after a summer spent trying to get my eldest to work on his math skills, I realize that I haven't a clue how to inspire a student. So I'm grateful he has skilled educators nearby to save me from myself. We just clash too much to have a successful student/teacher relationship. That said, the book sounds interesting, so I'll definitely look for it. Thanks for the book reco. I have to say, I could NEVER homeschool. We feel the same way about homeschooling – our primary reasons have always been educational and lifestyle focused rather than moral. I posted about <a href="http://doodlesplace.net/homeschooling/the-whys-behind-our-decision-to-homeschool" rel="nofollow">our main reasons</a> a couple of weeks ago when we launched our K year officially, but I might have to go back and add this quote because I love it: "I’m so passionate about giving our children a whole-hearted, whole-minded, whole body experience in their upbringing. To not dichotomize their learning about life." I’ve heard a lot about that book as well, although I haven’t read it yet.
