So ironically, our worst road conditions are in Texas.

If you could, please pray for us tomorrow morning (Wednesday, December 20) when you read this. We’re doing perfectly fine, but well, we’re stuck in Dalhart, Texas surrounded by icy roads and closed interstate highways. We hoped to make it to Amarillo tonight, but we’re now a few hours shy of that. So if you would pray for clear roads, energy and concentration as we travel, a supernaturally happy toddler, and a swift Honda despite the circumstances, that would be great. We can’t complain one bit, but it sure would nice to be back in Austin soon.

And one of the reasons we can’t complain is due to an unexpected blessing – a jacuzzi tub. In our room. Which we just used. For about two hours. We’re not cheap-above-all-circumstances when it comes to hotel establishments, but we’re also not Ritz Carlton frequenters, so a jacuzzi tub has just made us giddy. And relaxed. So relaxed, in fact, that…. I’m… dozing…. off…. despite…. my…. attempts…. not… to….

We’re definitely praying. Hope you get here safe and soon. Chick’s buddy is anxiously awaiting her arrival. She’s been saying “chick back soon, chick back soon” all week long. Let us know when you’re up for socializing. ;o)
