Sometimes, Bloggityville is just plain cool

For Heather edit to add:  Here is a donation update!

So, one of the blogs I read daily is BooMama. If you’re not a subscriber to her, my oh my, are you missing out. Normally I read her for my daily dose of laughoutloudness (she really is hilarious), but occassionally she does something of which you can’t help but be part.

You might have come across Especially Heather‘s site at one time in cyberspace – her little girl has an incredibly rare heart disease, and she has beautifully blogged her journey through medical intervention and emotional mothering that would move anyone to a stronger faith in our good God. And now, just recently, Heather herself was diagnosed with a brain tumor. You can read about it here – and really, just read her blog from about April 10 and on, because it will bless your socks off.

Now the cool thing is that BooMama, who has a readership larger than life, has set up a thingy where people can go to a paypal account and donate money to Heather for her enormously huge pile of medical expenses. She has miraculously been given an appointment at the Mayo Clinic – but it’s not cheap. The amount you give is totally anonymous, and you can even give a minimum donation of $1. It’s very cool.

And to top that off, Beth at I Should Be Folding Laundry has decided to do a little prize giveaway to people who have promoted Heather on their blogs. The donations keep coming and coming – and, well, at the time of this post, there are 24 prizes. So amazing. You just need to sign up on her blog if you’ve promoted Heather, and you’ll be entered to win.

Be praying for Heather, and think of her every time you have the ability to play with your healthy children.

Isn’t the Blog World just amazing sometimes?
