that’s my girl

This morning, as Kabob was making these delicious pumpkin pancakes, Chickpea, as usual, was helping him.  (She’s pretty sure we are helpless in the kitchen without her, by the way.)

I don’t know if it was the burnt orange hue to our breakfast’s batter, or if she was just trying to suck up to me and get more pancakes on her plate, but she ran into the living room, looked at me, and said, “Mommy, we’re having pancakes!  Hook ‘em horns!

So she is getting a well-rounded education out of the country after all.

    I’m not sure that qualifies as a well-rounded education. She might need to be introduced to both sides of the story. =)

    Aubrey started calling all the burnt orange cars that drive around Austin “Hook ‘em Horns cars” — we have our girls trained well!
