The Actor’s Studio
The other night I was watching Inside the Actor’s Studio, where the guest was Mike Myers. I enjoy the whole show (depending on who the guest is, of course), but the best part is the end of James Lipton’s interview, when he asks his standard 10 questions. They’re good questions. So I thought I’d post them here, along with my answers – but I’d like to hear other peoples’, too. Seeing as I have about three people that even post here (but a lot more readers), I’m not expecting much. Still… If you’re so inclined, please indulge me.
1. What is your favorite word? Mama
2. What is your least favorite word? Disappointed
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? A beautiful day with no agenda
4. What turns you off? Clutter
5. What is your favorite curse word? Furkin Doner (kudos to my husband, who made up this word after mispronouncing a sign in Turkey)
6. What sound or noise do you love? Tate’s laugh
7. What sound or noise do you hate? cell phones ringing at a very inconvenient time
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? chef, decorator, writer
9. What profession would you not like to do? executioner
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Welcome home

Tsh, I watch Actor’s Studio all the time and have often wondered what I would answer to those questions. Your query got me going. I’m probably not on your list of expected or wanted replies but here goes anyway!
1. What is your favorite word? Sunshine
2. What is your least favorite word? don’t
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?Trying a new skill and succeeding
4. What turns you off? people with entitlement attitudes
5. What is your favorite curse word? s**t
6. What sound or noise do you love? wind chimes
7. What sound or noise do you hate? static
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Piano player or dancer — keeping in mind that I can no neither!
9. What profession would you not like to do? garbage collector
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? You’re too early!
Well, duh, I should have read it over first. On #8 — it should read “DO neither”!
