We have been insanely busy this past week. We’ve had house guests for the past few weeks; new expats who have moved here and are now in the process of furnishing their own place. One of Kabob’s jobs here is to help new arrivals with their residential and business needs, and he loves it. But it is exhausting. He has been all over town the past two weeks, dealing with realtors, electric companies, phone and internet companies, government and visa offices, furniture stores, and landlords. In another language. He’s been such a hard worker, and I’m so proud of him.
This means I’ve been super-busy spinning the plates at home, getting pee sprayed on my foot (Chickpea’s, not mine), doing mounds of laundry, bulk cooking for the upcoming birth, festive-ing our home for the holidays, and sitting down every 5 minutes because I can no longer cross my legs, much less be on my feet all day long.
But I’m not complaining. Things are going well with us; we’re happy here in our home. We’ve been doing our advent calendar made by Kabob’s grandmother, we’re doing a Jesse Tree for the first time, Chickpea is discovering the joy of sprinkles on sugar cookies, and we’ve watched The Polar Express three times already (guess who’s choice that is). I love this time of year.
I might be blogging less and less over the next few weeks, depending on Garbanzo’s arrival. Either that, or I might be blogging non-stop out of boredom waiting for him to show up - we’ll see. But I’ll now get to the original reason I wrote this post in the first place - I’ve finally posted some baby announcement designs at my store! There’s only five right now, but I’ve got more coming. I’ve also got “we’ve moved” cards on the way. Since I know 18-jillion families with new babies, I thought it might be a good idea.
Alright, off to start dinner!
