Update and photos and background music, oh my
I don’t have long here, but I did want to tell you a quick thanks for lifting up our little girl. As soon as I hit “publish” on that post, things immediately starting getting better. She’s still a little fussy, but overall, nothing like it had been earlier in the week. She seems to have much more peace in her heart. Apparently this is very, very common in the beginning with most kids moving overseas, especially ones at Chickpea’s age. So… That’s the power of prayer for ya.
I’ve uploaded new photos on our Flickr site – the one I’ve purposely not linked here. If you’re on our e-mail update list, the link is on our last e-mail. If you’re not on that list, either drop me an e-mail (or a note in the comments section) that you’d like to be on that list, or just ask me for the Flickr site… granted you’re not a creepy internet weirdo. I recognize most of the regulars here I know only in the blogosphere, so you all are fine. Updated to add: There are about 10 photos that won’t upload, so I’ll do those another time – it’s late and I’m all annoyed now. Grrr.
And finally, just for kicks… Fernando Ortega’s site has some great background music on the jukebox (upper right-hand corner) for while you’re perusing your bloglines. If his voice doesn’t quiet your soul, I don’t know what will.
So on that note… Goodnight to all.

Would love to be on your e-mail list! Rocksinmydryer@cox.net . So glad to hear Chickpea is doing better.
Thanks for the background music tip. He is fantastic! Such a mellow, pure sound. Very soothing.
I can totally relate. Our oldest went through the exact same thing. Eventually she will adjust. I thought Nae would never sleep through the night. Our sweet little girl disappeared for awhile as she missed family and learned to live in a new culture.
Thank you for sharing all your adjusting to a new life. I am so glad you found a place to call home and were able to find things in the grocery store. You guys are in my thoughts and I send you a hug from South America.
